Emotional Egg Tarts from @compassionculturehk (instagram)
Growing up, did anyone ask how you felt—not just how you performed?
As an Asian kid, my parents asked:
▫️ “How was class?”
▫️ “Did you win?”
▫️ “What was your score?”
…but never “How’s your heart?”
This is a cute tool to start communicating with your child so we can teach them how to become emotionally aware and expressing that in a healthy manner. Rather than acting on emotions and potentially finding a logical understanding / solution as to why they may be feeling the way they do.
How to start using the emotional egg tarts:
“How do you describe your mood now?”
“What’s one emotion you wish you’d learned to name sooner?”
“Which tart are you today?”
Made of soft squishy plastic. Must be used with adult supervision to avoid choking hazard.
